Book your Aubrey Vineyards 3-hour Igloo Experience now! The Igloo Experience at Aubrey Vineyards, offers a private Igloo space for up to 6 guests with dedicated service throughout your visit. The Igloo Experience includes your choice of food package from the exclusive Igloo menu of charcuterie boards and pizza. A $200 Igloo Experience reservation fee, plus tax, is required.

Each reservation for The Igloo also includes access to the exclusive Igloo cocktail menu and the ability to order wine, other beverages and additional food from the AV menu. A dedicated Igloo attendant is available by simply pushing the call button!

Seasonal Wine Tasting

Aubrey Vineyards now offers opportunities to enjoy our wines alongside curated food pairings. You will enjoy an intimate evening with AV’s Lead Wine Tasting Specialist dedicated to your table. 
The Seasonal Wine Tasting Experience will focus on various styles of our Aubrey wines. You will learn about the grape varieties and wines as well as food pairing ideas you can use at home. Gather some friends and come find out how these wines will pair perfectly with your meals and seasonal gatherings!

Some of the pairings we’ve done include food from McLain’s Market, Bristol Seafood Grill, The Brass Onion, and Jack Stack BBQ. Experiences are from 6:00pm to 7:30pm and are $50 per person. Sign-ups are limited to 8 guests per experience and advance tickets are required.

Harvest Festival 2023

A Spanish Basque Country Wine & Food Pairing Experience

Guests joined Aubrey Vineyards for a unique wine event highlighting and celebrating the flavorful wines from the Basque Country of Spain!

Touted as a gastronomic mecca and topping the charts of the world’s best restaurants, this part of the world produces the best wine styles to transition you from summer into fall. Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW), Kerri Lesh, will lead you on a “stay-cation” that will transport and educate you via the unique terroir this special part of Spain has to offer.

The night started off by welcoming guests with a Cava from Aranleón, move on to the iconic white wine of the Basque coast, Txakoli by Txomin Etxaniz, and finish the pairing with Abel Mendoza's 2017 and 2021 "Jarrarte" red wines from Rioja.

This immersive experience wasFriday, September 8th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm and was $50 per person. Tickets were required and are limited to 24 guests.

HARVEST 2023 @ AV

Guests joined the AV team on various days throughout August, September and October to experience first-hand one of the most integral parts of the winemaking process. They were a part of the Aubrey Vineyards team and helped kick-off the creation of your favorite wines for the 2023 vintage year! You will receive a collectable Harvest Team t-shirt on your first day! Also, on each harvest day, lunch and a glass of wine of your choice were provided. And, reward levels were available for those harvesting multiple days!

Guest Volunteer Club Levels for 2023:

• Guests who volunteer one date will receive a collectable Harvest Team t-shirt.

• Guests who volunteer for at least two dates will receive a $25 gift certificate redeemable in the Tasting Room or a set of 2 AV Logo'd Reidel Wine Glasses.

• Guests who volunteer for at least three dates will receive the choice of a $35 gift certificate redeemable in the Tasting Room or a free reservation at one of the three exclusive VIP Patio Seating Areas (up to a $75 value for the waived reservation fee).

• Guests who volunteer for at least four dates will receive two tickets for the public Harvest Party in October which will include dinner and live music.

• Finally, guests who volunteer for at least five dates will receive an invitation for two to an exclusive Winemaker Dinner Experience in the fall. This will be a wine pairing dinner you will not want to miss!

We Celebrated Mother's Day at Aubrey Vineyards!

Aubrey Vineyards had everything you needed for a perfect Mother's Day celebration. Guests brought the whole family out to enjoy wonderful food from the Holy Brunch KC food truck from 11:30am-2:30pm. From noon-3pm, there was a FREE photo opportunity for your group conducted by Cody Carpenter Photography, as well as a live musical performance from Erica McKenzie! 

Valentine's Day Weekend Experience

 

Guests visited the Vineyard Tasting Room on February 10th, 11th or the 12th and enjoyed a special Valentine’s Weekend pairing experience with both the new 2021 Select Series Rosé of Crimson Cabernet and a dark chocolate mousse cup with whipped cream and strawberries.  And, on Saturday February 11th, from 4pm to 6pm, the Tasting Room featured live, light jazz instrumentals performed by FM Duo.

The Aubrey Vineyards Select Series showcases the winemaker’s exploration into producing special wines in limited quantities or with unique characteristics.  The 2021 Crimson Cabernet harvest proved to be the most bountiful since the vineyard planting nearly a decade earlier.  This excess fruit provided the opportunity to explore a rosé-format wine.  The Rosé of Crimson Cabernet was the result of immediately pressing a small batch of freshly harvested grapes and allowing for very little time for the juice to be in contact with the skins.  The luscious creamy melon notes, mild acidity and hints of rose petal aromas make this rosé wine a wonderful addition to the AV Select Series.

The Valentine’s Weekend pairing included a glass of the new 2021 Rosé of Crimson Cabernet (or any wine of your choice) and a dark chocolate mousse cup with whipped cream and strawberries.  This pairing is $16 and was available Friday, Saturday and Sunday, February 10th through the 12th.  Reservations were recommended as quantities were limited.

Join AV for a Script Reading Experience!

Our wonderful guests joined AV on Wednesday, February 15th from 6-8pm, for a fun and experimental Script Reading Experience – with wine!  We put together a group of fantastic professional actors, including AV’s own Drew Starlin, to share a script reading with all Tasting Room guests.  A script reading was like WATCHING an audiobook or radio play – except it’s LIVE!  There were no sets and the stage directions are read by a ‘narrator’ for context.

This play was about a man, Jonathan, who visits LA for an audition and brings his wife, Jenifer, along for support.  While the couple is staying there with an old friend, Michael, drama unfolds in both Jonathan and Jenifer’s life at home as well as Michael’s personal and professional life.  While these story lines push the topics of self-doubt and one’s need for support, the script weaves in definite humor and moments of levity.  Please note, the play does contain adult language.

Reservations were not required and there was no cost to attend.  AND…It’s Wine Wednesday – enjoy ½ price wine by the glass all day!  

Early New Year's Celebrations:
Music and a Closing Toast on the 30th and Hourly Toasts on the 31st!

On Friday, December 30th, Mikey Needleman returned to The Vineyard Tasting Room to ring in the New Year. He performed popular hits with classic holiday staples sprinkled in from 5:30pm-8pm, with a grand toast at the end of the evening.

AV Ugly Sweater Holiday Party

Mark your calendars for an evening of wine, ugly sweaters, and holiday cheer at Aubrey Vineyards! Friday, December 9th was an all-day holiday party at The Vineyard Tasting room with S'mores, Limited time holiday cocktails, and new beer selections. Guests joined the AV team in getting into the spirit by wearing their favorite ugly sweater.

Halloween Costume Party @ AV

Saturday, October 29th was an evening of frights and fun at the Vineyard. AV hosted a Halloween Costume Party from 4pm-7pm featuring Smoak Craft BBQ and live music from Nick Nave! There was also a costume contest with prizes awarded at 5pm.

A 360 degree photobooth provided by 360PicKC will also be available from 3pm-6pm for a memorable souvenir from the costume party!

And, don’t forget to take home the Halloween spirit by grabbing a bottle of Ghost, AV's white tawny port-style wine, along with a ‘Ghost Bar’, the exclusive pairing MAPS chocolate bar.

Winemaker's Harvest Celebration

The 2022 harvest season is over! We celebrated a wonderful growing season and a bountiful harvest, Aubrey Vineyards invited you to a celebratory harvest shrimp boil on Friday, October 21st! From 5:30pm-8:00pm, Kelly B's served up a shrimp boil on The Vineyard Tasting Room patio. There was a live performance from acoustic pop and indie duo CANA.

Friday the 21st was also the release of the Sandhills Bobwhite with Peaches beer at the tasting room! Over 100 pounds of peaches grown and harvested from Aubrey Vineyards' peach orchard went into this wheat beer.

The Harvest Shrimp Boil was free for all who attended three community harvest dates! Additional shrimp boil meal tickets were available for $25 per person.

Wine Education

Wine Education Days have concluded for the 2022 season. Each month featured a unique varietal in the vineyard and provided updates on current vineyard growing progress.  Attendees received a tour along with a 3 sample wine tasting of Aubrey Vineyards wines.

Wine Release Event: 2017 Bourbon Barrel Aged Norton

Aubrey Vineyards hosted this wine release party on Thursday, September 29th at The Vineyard Tasting Room. This intimate evening showcased the very limited release of the Bourbon Barrel Aged 2017 Norton, with heavy hors d'oeuvres and desserts carefully selected to pair with the wine.  Guests enjoyed jazz guitar instrumentals from F/M Duo all evening, along with a custom Knob Creek bourbon cocktail available for purchase.

The 2017 Bourbon Barrel Aged Norton is now available in The Tasting Room!

Q39 with Mikey Needleman

Aubrey Vineyards celebrated with local KC favorites! On Thursday, September 1st, Q39 Barbeque launched their first-ever BBQ temporary pop-up location at The Vineyard from 5pm to 8pm! Nominated by Kansas City Magazine as the best vocalist of 2022, Mikey Needleman also performed contemporary rock hits live. Reservations were not required for this event.

Independence Day Weekend Kickoff

July 1^st  was a night of games, live music, and BBQ at the vineyard!

Wednesdays at Herman's performed a variety of hits on the patio. A full barbecue menu of KC standards from Smoak Craft BBQ was available from 4-8PM. Yard games, including giant Jenga, cornhole, and connect 4, were available all day!
